Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-08-29
This is a plain-language draft, not reviewed legal advice. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified attorney.
1. The service
Stryke Scrub is a paid, self-serve tool for cleaning and verifying email address lists. You upload a list, we check each address, and you download the results with a per-row status. We do not send email on your behalf, and we do not integrate with your sending platform — this service is limited to verification.
2. Credits and payment
Access is billed in credits, purchased in packs. Credits never expire. Not every checked row uses a credit — see our pricing FAQ for which statuses are charged. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload lists that were harvested, scraped, or purchased in violation of applicable law (including anti-spam and data protection law) or without a lawful basis to hold the addresses in them;
- Create multiple accounts, or use false or disposable information, to obtain more free signup credits than intended;
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service;
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or ban any account that violates this section, at our discretion, with or without notice. We may also limit the number or size of jobs an account can run, to keep the service reliable for everyone.
4. Data and privacy
How we handle uploaded lists and account data — including when we delete it and how our backups work — is covered in our Privacy Policy.
5. Refunds
See our Refund Policy.
6. No warranty
Email verification is inherently probabilistic — some receiving mail servers do not answer truthfully (see our FAQ on Yahoo, AOL, and Microsoft 365 domains). We do not guarantee that every "valid" result is deliverable or that every other result is not. The service is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not claim any compliance certification (e.g. SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA) for this service.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stryke Scrub is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
8. Governing law
[Placeholder — Justin to set the governing jurisdiction and venue before launch.]
9. Changes
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above will change when we do. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the update.
